Joaquín Moné, Alcañiz’s Easter Week 2016 town crier

Joaquín Moné Foz, born in Alcañiz in 1952 and owner of our Insurance Brokerage, has been appointed town crier of the Easter festivities of his hometown for this year 2016. Here is an article from the local newspaper, La Comarcawhere the appointment is made official.

The pregonero of Holy Week is in charge of carrying out the official opening of the Holy Week of Alcañiz, one of the nine localities of the Route of the Drum and Bass Drum.

It was a few weeks ago when they contacted from the City Council with him. The mayor gave the approval to the election carried out by the Supreme Meeting of the Holy Week of Alcañiz, communicating to him that, on him, had fallen this year the responsibility and the honor of being pregonero of the capital bajoaragonesa.

There is one month left for him to take the baton that other illustrious Alcañizanos have left before him. Specifically, on March 21, Easter Monday. That day, in something less than an hour, he will offer the proclamation to the alcañizanos and alcañizanas; expressing with affection his experiences and memories of the Holy Week of Alcañiz.

After a brief visit to the City Hall and the stamping of his signature in the Book of Honor of the same, we will go to the Main Theater, where the proclamation will take place; where he will be accompanied by the mayor, the parish priest and the presidents of the Brotherhoods and Brotherhoods of Alcañiz.

For all of us it is a great pride and, for him, who every week comes to Alcañiz to enjoy his friends, his city and his countryside, even more so.

Congratulations Joaquín, you deserve it.
