Today, as a first part, we are going to talk about automobile claims, the insurance par excellence contracted online, and we will see what problems the customer may encounter in the future. These are some examples that are repeated relatively frequently.
The no-fault claim, how to avoid total loss?
Our insured had an accident in which he was hit from behind (so it was the damaged vehicle). When this happens, the opposing company pays our company what is known as a “module”, but our own company is the one who appraises the vehicle to see what damages exist.
On this occasion, it was estimated that the car was a total loss (which happens when the cost of repair exceeds the market/actual value of our car). When this happens, it is a nuisance for the insured since he has a car that works perfectly, but because of someone who gives him a blow, he finds himself without a car and perhaps with 1,000 € in his pocket to replace it.
In this specific case, thanks to the intervention of the brokerage, acting in defense of the rights of the insured, we have managed to save the vehicle. After talking with the expert, the garage and the company, an agreement was reached to repair it for 6.000 €, being the value of the car 6.500 €; avoiding that the client has to look for another car, being totally satisfied.
Locate the attestation and resolve the dispute
Our insured was driving in the city when a vehicle hit him sideways. They argue about the version of the facts and do not reach an agreement when filling out the friendly report, so the police went to the police station to draw up an attestation.
When we went to report the accident to the insurance company, the other company did not assume the fault, so we located the policeman who witnessed the blow, and we obtained the statement that endorsed the version of our insured, forcing the other company to assume the fault, and our client was able to repair the car without any major problem.

As you can see, taking out insurance may seem very simple; however, the difficulty lies in the occurrence of a claim. It is then when we need the assistance of a professional. If, on top of that, we do not charge any kind of fee to the client for that help, so much the better.
