5 tips for a safe holiday season

As every year when the Fiestas approach, either in a town or, especially, when we live them in a city, we find ourselves with certain risks that can be minimized. From PIB Group Iberia we seek to raise awareness about it, and for that we have prepared 5 simple tips to help us enjoy without risks.

If you drink, do not drive

Although it may seem like a simple saying from an advertisement, accidents of this type are repeated year after year. It is no coincidence that the main cause of traffic fatalities is the consumption of alcohol or drugs. Not to mention the multiple controls that are deployed to prevent and avoid these issues.

To avoid this, we have at our disposal multiple alternative means of transportation: from cabs, buses, streetcars, etc.
Another alternative, if you go to more remote places, is to take turns among friends so that someone does not consume.

Calm in the face of crowds

It will be inevitable to go to places where there are crowds of people. It does not help to be nervous or in a hurry.

It is advisable to pay attention to the indications and security personnel, as well as to try to arrive on time to the events, in order to avoid problems.

Parties and securityWatch out for the little ones

Related to the above is not losing sight of our children or family members when we are among the masses.
This is probably the main advice to follow. When we are talking about children, it is easy for us to get lost for a moment; that is why we must be extremely careful with them.

We should always have the emergency telephone numbers saved: 091 (National Police), 092 (Local Police), 062 (Civil Guard).

Do not neglect our home

We often take advantage of the holiday season to escape from the city or even stay away from home for long hours.

Just as if it were a vacation, we must avoid showing signs that we are not at home. In the same way that it is very advisable not to have the blinds completely down, that someone can approach to turn on lights and pick up mail, etc.

In addition, it is very important not to leave the windows open and, of course, not to have emergency keys deposited outside the home. The protection of the home must always be taken into account.

Keep an eye on your belongings at all times

Unfortunately, not everyone is dedicated to enjoying the Holidays and, in an oversight, we can lose our wallet, cell phone or other property.

Therefore:

  1. avoid storing valuables in back pockets
  2. carry only what you need

We hope you find these tips useful and that we can enjoy these events without any problems. At PIB Group Iberia, as our motto says: we manage your insurance, we secure your future”.
