PIB Group Iberia, the global insurance broker and fifth largest broker in the Spanish market, continues to advance in its territorial expansion plan with the reinforcement of its team in Madrid. In this context, the company has appointed Pedro Gaspar Schmitt as the new Regional Director for the area., from where he will lead the growth and consolidation of the business in one of the group's key territories. Schmitt replaces Aguirre, who will take on advisory roles in the company's major accounts area.
Pedro Gaspar has more than a decade of experience in the insurance sector, having held management positions in leading companies such as Abanca Broker and Ferrer&Ojeda, after having started his career in the sector in other companies such as Aon and Howden. He has a solid track record in business development, commercial management and leadership of multidisciplinary teams. His profile will bring to PIB Group Iberia strategic vision, technical knowledge and a strong customer focus, key qualities to enhance the positioning of the company in the capital and surrounding areas.

10 more new additions to the team
In addition to the appointment of Schmitt, PIB Group Iberia has significantly expanded its team in Madrid since the beginning of the year, with the addition of five new commercial executives: Luis Alberto Rozas García, Ricardo Porras Bravo, Daimiris Ortiz Fonseca, Álvaro Garzón de los Ríos y Álvaro de la Morena.
The growth of the team is completed with the incorporation of three account managers in support functions, a new claims manager (Claims Handler), Cristina Romero, and the arrival of Pablo López as good as new Head of Flexible Remuneration in central and northern Spain.
